Our Philosophy

Learning is a lifetime endeavour: an opportunity! You know the issues in your organization best ; therefore, your training experiences should be tailored to your needs.. we will work closely with you to ensure that our training integrates prior learning, meets your learners’ current needs, and ignites spirited inquiry.

Leadership Development

Leadership Development

“Leadership is a verb, not a noun. Leadership is an action not a position. And it is defined by what we do, not by what we say or the roles that we are in and in today’s world; we need a lot more leaders″ (Clemmer, 2003).

Leadership is a way of being. For organizations to be successful, they need leaders at every level of the organization: tapping the leadership potential of every employee should be an organizational priority. Our leadership programs explore a number of key concepts including:

– Leading from Self

– Leading Others

– Organizational Leadership

– Influencing Others

Training and Facilitation

Training and Facilitation

“A growing body of literature purposed that “playing” and “activity” can significantly enhance student learning at all educational levels” (Quantum Learning, 2002)

Effective training and facilitation is grounded on an understanding of how adults learn. Adults are typically self-directed and autonomous; they are motivated to learn what is practical to them and has relevancy to their lives. Adults in a training setting also have an abundance of experience and knowledge, making them a rich resource in the classroom. Some topics we cover under the training and facilitation banner are:

– Train-the-trainer
– Presentation Skills
– Learning Styles
– Facilitation Skills

Communication

Communication

″…most organizational problems stem from poor human relations with the consequence that organizational efficiency and effectiveness is compromised″ (Bolman & Deal, Reframing Organizations, 1997)

Effective communication is a tactical business skill that too often is taken for granted. Communication plays a key role in business success at every level. Kim integrates emotional intelligence and organizational behaviour theory into interactive modules designed to enhance organizational communication. Some of the topics we cover include:

– Communication Theory/Models
– Interpersonal Communication
– Verbal/non-verbal Communications
– Communicating in Teams

Personality Profiling using MBTI

Personality Profiling using MBTI

“An interest in MBTI is sweeping the business world, where it is used to improve management style, teambuilding, job satisfaction and relationships among co-workers” (Lavonne Neff, One of a Kind).

In order to understand others, we must first understand ourselves. Examining the various dimensions of personality gives us a framework to use when issues arise with others in our workplace. Personality can be used as a foundation for teambuilding, communication, leadership, conflict, change and a number of other organizational behaviour-related topics.

Kim is certified to use the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality instruments.
